Pastoral Support
There can be times when some of our children might be experiencing difficulties and need a little extra support.
Our specialist pastoral support worker, Mrs Maders with the support of other adults in school, works with children both on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Mrs Maders role is to support children and their families. This can range from general advice in supporting to signposting families to other external agencies who can best support your needs and also liaising with these agencies if necessary.
Positive emotional health and mental wellbeing is a requirement for learning and this is where support can be provided to you and your child.
With our whole school universal offer, through individual and group work, we can offer emotional support for your child and deliver interventions to promote positive emotional health and mental wellbeing. The link is below and our universal offer can also be found on the right of this page

Our aim is to help pupils overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school and aim to develop a mentoring relationship with pupils needing support. We try to maintain regular contact with parents and carers of identified pupils, to promote positive family support and involvement.
We liaise with external agencies e.g. Early Help, School Attendance Improvement Service, Social Services, TOGMind , CAMHS (Previously Healthy Young Minds), Place2be, Positive Steps and also agencies to support looked after children in our school.
If you think your child may benefit from any of these services, please get in touch with Mrs Maders through the school office on 0161 624 1377
